Paediatrics at Shrinivas G spans neonatal rescue to adolescent advocacy under one roof. Our Level-III NICU features servo-controlled incubators, amplitude EEG and high-frequency ventilation, handling more than 700 critical neonates yearly. Adjacent PICU pods manage septic shock, severe asthma and complex metabolic crises with invasive haemodynamics and point-of-care ultrasound, giving trainees hands-on familiarity with cutting-edge paediatric critical care. Faculty integrate developmental milestones into every consult, reinforcing preventive concepts amid acute management.

Learning travels outside hospital walls. Students run school-health camps investigating anaemia and myopia, then analyse data in campus biostat labs to craft IEC modules for district authorities. Subspecialty postings—cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, haematology—broaden outlook while simulation drills rehearse neonatal resuscitation, anaphylaxis and lumbar puncture. Research on malnutrition, vaccine seroconversion and congenital heart genetics consistently garners ICMR funding.
